What are we doing, really?

Is what you're involved in benefiting you? Really? What really matters in this life? I believe there is only 1 answer to this question.

Work

If it's not work, you're not getting a good workout. Enough said.

SUPER Bowl

Today's the big day! Or not, depending on if you care.

You either REALLY care, somewhat care, or don't care at all, and that's the interesting truth about it, considering that's how our entire lives operate on a daily basis.

So then...how do we take our lives up a notch so they're more "super?" So we can look forward to them with anticipation and excitement rather than with fear and laziness?

Trust

When I want to know something, I ask a friend. That seems to be the best, most reliable source of information, not because it actually is, but because we humans make decisions based on emotion and later justify them with facts.

I wonder why? Maybe it's because we innately trust each other. I like that, but am going to be more aware of how I make my decisions from now on.

Quality Work

My colleague had an awesome experience at Chipotle today, and I had one at Subway. The commonality? The people serving us genuinely cared deeply about what they did. And it showed; ever had that experience?

We don't have to be in a service industry to serve. Let's try something new: see ourselves as customer service specialists in our current jobs. Someday you may be in someone's blog for being awesome!

Look Behind You!

My brand new, 2011 Chevy was hit today for the first time. I knew it would happen one of these days, but gosh man, didn't you see me behind you?

There are times I haven't seen people behind me, though, which got me thinking...am I as forgiving of others as I hope they will be toward me when I'm in the other car?

The next time something happens, remember that sometimes you forget to look behind you, too.

A New Thing

There's a new thing going on today; how will you allow it to affect your life for the better?

For me, that means taking off the blinders to see better.
